My chime sounds when nobody is pressing the bell push?

My chime sounds when nobody is pressing the bell push?

The common cause for this is that your chime unit is picking up outside interference from other wireless transmitters. Do not worry, all Uni-Com door chimes are programmed with 256 randomly selected channels to help avoid such a problem.

  1. Remove the battery from the bell push.
  2.

  3. If you have a portable chime unit remove the batteries, if you have a plug-in chime unit switch the power off at the socket.
  4.

  5. Leave the units for a minimum of 10 minutes.
  6.

  7. If you have a portable chime unit reinsert the batteries, if you have a plug-in chime unit switch the power on at the socket. You will hear a double “beep”
  8.

  9. Within 30 seconds reinsert the battery into the bell push and press the button on the front. The chime unit will sound.
  10.

  11. Your door chime will now be set up on a different channel.
  12.

  13. As stated above the channels are randomly selected so you may need to repeat the above process more than once.
